A DEA license is required, or the candidate must be willing to obtain one.
The candidate must be comfortable and interested in performing peripheral joint injections for knees, shoulders, and hips.
The candidate must have familiarity with electronic health record charting.
The role requires relocation to Redding, California, and onsite work at skilled nursing facilities in the area.
Responsibilities
Round at one to three skilled nursing facilities or similar rehabilitation centers, one to three days per week at each location.
Provide specialized physiatry care to patients experiencing difficulty participating in therapy because of pain or functional limitations.
Perform focused assessments and develop individualized treatment plans in collaboration with facility primary care teams to optimize therapy participation and functional recovery.
Provide targeted interventions, including joint injections, Botox treatments, dry needling, and medication management based on patient-specific needs.
Serve as the sole physiatrist onsite and provide care autonomously, with a collaborative clinical team available for consultation as needed.
Coordinate care and refer patients to other specialties or services for issues beyond the scope of physiatry.
Desired Qualifications
Nursing home and/or physiatry experience is a plus, but is not required.

We’re Hiring: We are seeking a passionate, motivated provider to join us full-time and independently offer care and consultations at our contracted facilities.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities As a physiatrist, you will round at 1–3 Skilled Nursing Facilities or similar rehabilitation centers, 1–3 days per week at each location. Your primary focus will be delivering specialized physiatry care to 25+ patients per day who are experiencing difficulty participating in therapy due to pain or functional limitations.
Key responsibilities include:

Providing targeted interventions such as joint injections, Botox treatments, dry needling, and medication management based on patient-specific needs.
Serving as the sole physiatrist on-site, operating with a high level of autonomy while supported by a collaborative clinical team for consultation as needed.
Coordinating care and referring to other specialties or services for issues beyond the scope of physiatry.
This role is best suited for a self-motivated and confident clinician who thrives in independent practice environments and is passionate about improving rehabilitation outcomes.
Qualifications:
Current, unrestricted PA or NP license.
DEA licensed or willing to obtain DEA licensure.
Nursing home and/or physiatry experience is a plus, but not required.
Comfort and interest in performing peripheral joint injections (knees, shoulders, hips).
A genuine passion for providing professional, personalized care in an autonomous environment.
Strong communication skills, with the ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
Familiarity with EHR charting
