Requirements
  • Be a current member in good standing of the OIIQ with a valid practice permit.
  • Have at least one year of recent experience as a nurse in a CHSLD.
  • Have an excellent level of French, spoken and written.
  • Submit an up-to-date curriculum vitae and proof of registration with the professional order.
  • Be available for all shifts, including day, evening, and night shifts, and for weekends.
  • Be able to alternate between the two CHSLD sites.
Responsibilities
  • Coordinate, plan, and evaluate the delivery of nursing care in the units of both CHSLDs.
  • Provide clinical leadership to care teams, including auxiliary nurses and patient attendants, and act as a resource person in complex situations.
  • Manage beds, distribute workloads, and replace staff when unexpected absences occur during assigned shifts.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable quality and safety standards and clinical protocols.
  • Provide direct support and an adapted approach to residents, particularly those with intellectual disabilities or autism spectrum disorder.
Desired Qualifications
  • Previous experience as an ASI.
  • Expertise serving clients with intellectual disabilities or autism spectrum disorder.
