Fueler/Lube Technician
About the job
- Two to three years of previous experience in a similar position.
- A commercial driver's license is required.
- A Hazmat endorsement is required.
- A tanker endorsement is required.
- Must be willing to travel out of state as needed.
- Knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance.
- Ability to take instruction from management, demonstrate attention to detail, actively listen, and learn quickly.
- Ability to work in field and shop environments with little to no supervision.
- Ability to work in all weather conditions.
- Must adhere to all safety rules and put safety first.
- Successful completion of a comprehensive background check and preemployment drug screen, including THC, is required.
- Applicants with a DUI or felony conviction may not meet eligibility requirements.
- Perform required equipment fueling and preventative maintenance operations at construction job sites.
- Perform fueling and preventative maintenance duties as directed by the Equipment Superintendent.
- Help control fuel and preventative maintenance costs.
- Ensure fuel and oils are topped off.
- Maintain good communication with the Equipment Superintendent and operations staff.
- Keep detailed fuel and oil usage logs.
- Maintain company equipment in a clean and orderly condition.
- Work safely at all times.
- Adhere to applicable safety policies.
- Comply with company policies, procedures, and standards.
- Keep pertinent in-house personnel informed about service dates, discrepancies found, general machine condition, and suggested action required.
