Requirements
  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • Must have a high school education or equivalent.
  • Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Must be able to learn quickly and multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must provide outstanding customer service.
  • Must be highly motivated and have strong problem-solving skills.
  • Must show initiative and make sound decisions independently.
  • Must have medical knowledge and field experience in a Denver Metro emergency medical services system.
  • Must pass a background check.
  • Must be available to work nights, weekends, and holidays.
Responsibilities
  • Gather emergency and non-emergency information in a timely manner and update computer-aided dispatch (CAD) appropriately.
  • Strategically deploy resources.
  • Communicate courteously and effectively with field units via radio and phone to maintain safety and service.
  • Maintain confidentiality of patient information in accordance with HIPAA regulations, and protect sensitive company and employee information.
  • Maintain a strong understanding of Denver Metro geography.
  • Maintain a high level of customer service.
  • Communicate effectively with 911 dispatch centers.
Desired Qualifications
  • One year of EMT or paramedic experience is preferred.
  • One year of public safety dispatching experience is preferred.
