About the company

SiTime designs and sells silicon-based timing solutions built on MEMS technology, including oscillators, network synchronizers, and jitter cleaners for automotive, industrial, IoT, mobile, aerospace, defense, and telecom markets. These devices use micro-electromechanical resonators on silicon to generate clocks and synchronize networks, replacing traditional quartz components. SiTime is a fabless company that outsources manufacturing to third-party foundries, allowing it to focus on design and product development. Its goal is to broaden MEMS timing adoption by providing compact, power-efficient, and temperature-stable timing solutions to customers worldwide.

SiTime lines up demos, sessions at ITSF.

SiTime lines up demos, sessions at ITSF. Credit: SiTime SiTime is taking part in the International Timing and Sync Forum (ITSF) 2026, being held Nov. 2-5 in Geneva. Timing and synchronization have moved from a niche engineering concern to a critical-infrastructure issue across telecom, data centers, and other advanced electronics, the company explained. SiTime experts will lead five sessions, hold live product demonstrations, and also meet with press. Sessions by Kishan Shenoi and Greg Armstrong will lead sessions that run from fundamentals to frontier topics. Shenoi opens on Day 1 withFundamentals of Timing and Synchronization. Armstrong follows with Synchronized Clocks. The two will then team up the same day on Radio Access Network (RAN) Synchronization Fundamentals, which covers the timing requirements underpinning today's mobile networks. On Day 3, the two also discuss deeper technical subjects. In Framework for Bounding Time Uncertainty in Hardware Clocks, Shenoi tackles how engineers can quantify and limit uncertainty at the hardware level. The same day, In Let's Not Forget About TDEV, Armstrong makes the case for renewed attention to time deviation (TDEV), a long-standing measure of clock stability, as networks demand ever-tighter synchronization. Between sessions, SiTime's timing experts will be at Booth 20b showcasing the company's latest products and solutions.

SiTime stock falls 34.9% to $462.72: past 30% drops paid off in five of seven cases

SiTime (SITM) shares have fallen 34.9% since October 6, 2026, closing at $462.72 on October 22. Since November 2019, the stock has had eight drops of more than 30% within six weeks. Of the seven drops with a full year of data, five left the stock higher a year later. The median gain turned $10,000 into about $11,800, though the stock typically fell a further 27.1% at some point. Both losing cases came in 2022, the worse leaving shares 49% lower. Revenue reached $468 million over the four quarters to June 2026, up 83.0%. Operating margin was just 0.188%, and the stock trades at 26.2 times sales. SiTime closed its Renesas timing business acquisition on July 1, funded partly by $1.35 billion of convertible notes due 2031.

Benchmark assigns $850 target to SiTime as timing tech firm closes $300M+ Renesas deal

Benchmark analyst Gary Mobley initiated coverage of SiTime Corp. with a Buy rating and $850 price target on 20 August. The rating is backed by expectations of increased relevance of precision timing technology for system manufacturers. SiTime's second-quarter net revenue reached $157.4 million, up 127% year-on-year. Adjusted gross margins were 67.1%, whilst adjusted net income was $65.6 million or $2.34 per diluted share. The company held $1,921 million in cash and short-term investments. SiTime finalised its acquisition of Renesas Electronics' timing business on 1 July, adding over 550 clocking products to its portfolio. The acquired business is expected to generate at least $300 million in revenue over the next 12 months. However, the Renesas deal carries high integration risks, and SiTime faces concentration risk from its heavy reliance on the AI Datacenter Communications segment.
