  • 6+ years relevant experience in Solutions Architecture
  • 5+ years experience with Microservices
  • 5+ years Java experience
  • Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication
  • Management and prioritization skills
  • Experience of cloud-native architectures and delivery of such solutions using microservice patterns
  • Experience and aptitude of Agile and DevOps approaches – e.g. continuous integration, test automation, frequent releases, containerization
  • Experience in operating running highly visible projects with senior accountability
  • Understanding of HTTP and REST based architectures
  • Basic knowledge of relational databases and SQL
  • Basic knowledge of non-relational databases such as MongoDB

Responsibilities
  • System architecture significantly impacts the solution, the teams that develop it, and the broader enterprise ecosystem. Consequently, a critical responsibility of the System Architect is collaborating with various roles, teams, and stakeholders within and outside the ART. The primary goal of these interactions is to ensure that the ART advances a system architecture that supports the evolving business need and enables fast reliable implementation
  • Lead the architectural design and integration of solutions within the ART, ensuring alignment with enterprise architecture.
  • Work with other architects and technical leads to design scalable, secure, and robust systems.
  • Ensure architectural coherence across teams within the ART, promoting reusable components and services.
  • Provide technical leadership to development teams, guiding them on best practices in design, coding, and system integration.
  • Mentor and coach team members on architectural principles and technical decisions.
  • Lead technical reviews and ensure high standards of code quality and system design.
  • Collaborate with Product Managers, Scrum Masters, and other stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
  • Participate in PI (Program Increment) Planning and other key SAFe events, representing the architectural perspective.
  • Facilitate communication across teams to manage dependencies and ensure cohesive solution delivery.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the ART, focusing on enhancing system performance, reliability, and maintainability.
  • Champion the adoption of DevOps practices, including CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure as code, and automation.
  • Stay updated on emerging technologies and industry trends to bring innovative solutions to the ART.
  • Identify and mitigate technical risks within the ART, ensuring that architecture decisions do not compromise system security or performance.
  • Ensure compliance with industry regulations, security standards, and organizational policies.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive architectural documentation for all solutions within the ART.
  • Establish and enforce architectural standards and best practices across the ART, ensuring consistency and quality.
