Incode launches TrustGraph, the first trust network built for the agentic era. Incode Technologies, the global leader in AI-powered identity verification and fraud prevention, today launched TrustGraph, the privacy-preserving trust network that enables institutions to detect repeat fraud and agentic fraud, as well as to recognize legitimate customers with signals from across the network, without pooling, exchanging or exposing customer data. In Incode's early access program, institutions using TrustGraph detected up to 53% more fraud than with their existing models alone. TrustGraph runs on patented peer-to-peer cryptographic technology that connects fraud and trust signals across participating institutions without creating a central pool of customer records. It is the product of more than a decade of research conducted by Incode and Identiq, a pioneer in cryptographic peer-to-peer identity validation founded by security, privacy and identity veterans. Identiq was acquired by Incode in June 2026. Fraudsters can now use AI agents to build synthetic identities, forge documents, and retry after every rejection, targeting hundreds of companies at once. Incode projects that agentic fraud will account for 60% of all fraud attempts by the end of 2026. Today, individual institutions only see the attempts within their own systems, so one agent opening accounts at several banks in a single afternoon can look like a string of unrelated applicants. Institutions have long understood that shared intelligence would help them combat fraud. However, institutions rarely share fraud information at scale because traditional approaches can require pooling or exchanging customer records, which can clash with privacy rules, create a single target for attackers, and risk exposing one institution's customer data to another. As a result, repeat fraud patterns remain hidden. TrustGraph changes that. Participating institutions, including direct competitors, can benefit from signals across the network without seeing one another's customer records. Its cryptographic architecture is designed to protect the identities of institutions requesting and providing signals. "Fraud is networked. Defenses are still siloed," said Ricardo Amper, founder and CEO of Incode. "Attackers benefit from operating across institutions because each institution typically sees only its own interactions. A trust network changes that equation by turning isolated attempts into signals others can use. This is the trust infrastructure the AI era requires, and we're proud to make it available today." What TrustGraph does * Surfaces fraud no single institution can see. Anchored to verified biometric identities, TrustGraph recognizes repeat patterns across participating institutions, even when a bad actor uses a new name, document, or device, and returns a fraud signal in real time at onboarding, login, or a high-risk transaction. * Exposes fraud rings. Within an institution's own data, TrustGraph links seemingly unrelated applications that share a device, document details, or near-identical addresses, so investigators can treat the ring as one case. * Detects fast-moving attacks, such as one device opening accounts at several banks in a single afternoon. * Recognizes customers who have successfully verified elsewhere, providing a positive trust signal that can lower risk and help institutions accept more legitimate customers. Why network intelligence matters The value of a network approach extends beyond individual institutions. Interac, Canada's payments and identity network connecting nearly 300 financial institutions, recognizes the importance of network intelligence in combating increasingly sophisticated fraud. "How do you expect every single business to keep up with deepfakes, synthetic identities, and romance scams on its own? It is impossible. That is why we chose Incode, which has the strongest solution in the market today," said Navjeet Grewal, Managing Director, Verification and Digital Credentials at Interac. "TrustGraph allows institutions to benefit from fraud signals across the network without exposing customer data. If Company A experiences an attack and the same actor later targets Company B, Company B doesn't have to face that attack as if it were the first time," Grewal added. Privacy built into the architecture * Customer records stay with the institution that holds them. TrustGraph uses privacy-preserving cryptography to match fraud and trust signals across participating institutions without pooling or exchanging customer records. * Matches happen without exposing customer records. Secure multi-party computation (SMPC) compares one-time cryptographic material to identify matching signals without giving participating institutions access to one another's customer records. * There is no central pool of customer records to breach. The network is peer-to-peer, with no central data lake or data broker holding customer records for attackers to target. * TrustGraph provides the signal, and each institution makes the decision. Institutions apply their own rules to determine how to act on the signals they receive, ensuring TrustGraph serves as a source of intelligence, not a shared blacklist. Availability TrustGraph is available today as part of the Incode platform and works alongside the identity verification, onboarding, and authentication processes that institutions already run. As more institutions participate, the network can recognize more repeat patterns across institutions. Technical details are available at incode.com/platform/trustgraph. About Incode Incode is a global leader in AI-driven identity and trust, with a mission to power a world of trust. Its platform verifies identity and age and stops fraud, using its own AI models, trained on more than 7 billion trust checks on a privacy-by-design architecture. Customers include eight of the top 10 U.S. banks, four of the top five marketplaces in the world, and the top three global neobanks. Incode's new network for anonymized fraud signals boosts detection by 53%. CEO Ricardo Amper shares insights into building TrustGraph with technology from Identiq Oct 14, 2026, 11:11 am EDT Chris Burt Incode is introducing a fraud intelligence-sharing capability based on privacy-preserving data analysis to help its customers identify possible fraud incidents while speeding up legitimate transactions. The new TrustGraph is a network of banks, fintechs and other institutions to share fraud and trust signals without exchanging the underlying personal data. Early access program participants in the TrustGraph network were able to identify up to 53 percent more fraud cases than with the fraud detection models they already had in place, across 12.2 million verified sessions. Incode Founder and CEO Ricardo Amper tells Biometric Update in an email interview that the technology can recognize repeat activity even when the associated names, documents or devices change. "For example, if an individual has been associated with fraud at one participating institution and subsequently appears at another under a different identity, TrustGraph can surface that connection through an explainable risk signal," Amper explains. "The second institution gains visibility into a previously identified fraud association that it could not have detected using its own records alone, without accessing the other institution's customer records." How TrustGraph works. TrustGraph de-identifies signals and searches the network for cryptographic matches of fraud and trust signals using secure multi-party computation (SMPC). This allows comparison without making the data accessible to other institutions or Incode. Institutions participating in the network, including competitors, can therefore share signals without exchanging customer data or otherwise risking falling afoul of privacy regulations. TrustGraph utilizes the Fully Anonymous Identity Resolution (FAIR) technology developed by Identiq through more than a decade of research and more than $50 million in investment into cryptographic peer-to-peer identity validation. Incode acquired Identiq in June with explicit intentions to build the privacy-preserving fraud signals-sharing network. "Following the acquisition, Incode brought its biometric identity verification capabilities to this foundation, developing algorithms and deploying systems to connect network intelligence with verified identities," Amper says. Organizations with TrustGraph implemented get "explainable risk or trust signals with reason codes, rather than a numerical confidence score," Amper says. "Examples include suspected repeat fraud, unusual activity, and patterns associated with fraud rings." They feed this information into their decisioning processes to approve, deny or manually investigate the application or transaction, or request additional verification, he says. Incode forecasts that by the end of this year, 61 percent of fraud attempts will be powered by AI. Amper discussed the role of AI agents in making fraud both automated and more convincing in the wake of Incode's agentic fraud report in August. "How do you expect every single business to keep up with deepfakes, synthetic identities, and romance scams on its own? It is impossible. That is why we chose Incode, which has the strongest solution in the market today," says Navjeet Grewal, managing director for verification and digital credentials at Canadian payment network Interac. Grewal emphasized the value of organizations being able to identify fraud attacks that are still novel to them by learning from the experiences of others. Incode provides biometric identity verification capabilities to Interac, which has an exclusive license to use the company's document verification technology in Canada. TrustGraph is now available for organizations to run alongside their existing identity verification, onboarding and authentication processes. Article topics. Latest biometrics news. Incode named a 2026 Prism Refractor and Resilient Trust Leader. Incode Aug 10, 2026 Incode is proud to share that Incode has been named a Prism Refractor and Resilient Trust Leader in the 2026 Biometric Digital Identity Financial Services Prism Report, published by The Prism Project. The Prism Project is an independent research and market education initiative from Acuity Market Intelligence. Its evaluations draw on public data, surveys, interviews, and confidential briefings across hundreds of organizations. In the 2026 report, Incode was recognized as the highest-scoring Luminary in the Core Identity Technology Beam, one of eight beams the report uses to map the biometric digital identity ecosystem. The Refractor designation is reserved for the single highest-scoring vendor in each Beam. What makes Incode a Resilient Trust Leader? The 2026 Financial Services Prism Report acknowledged Incode's vertically integrated AI platform spanning biometric identity verification, liveness detection, document authentication, identity orchestration, and fraud intelligence, all in one cohesive platform. Most other identity verification (IDV) solutions provide a stack built from third-party tools and services. It also mentioned Incode's proprietary AI models, which have performed more than seven billion identity trust checks as of August 2026, with over 400 million identity profiles worldwide. Finally, the report mentioned Incode's private-by-design architecture, which enables the platform to meet rising consumer expectations about privacy while helping organizations meet their trust and compliance goals. Why The Prism recognition matters. This year's report introduces a new lens for the industry: the Prism Resilient Trust Pyramid. This model extends the traditional Triangle of Trust, which focuses exclusively on issuers (governments and other sources of ID), holders (consumers), and verifiers (organizations), to also include an always-on point of IDV: biometrics. The timing makes sense. As agentic AI begins initiating transactions, making decisions, and interacting autonomously across banking, lending, and digital asset ecosystems, financial institutions face a harder question than document fraud alone. They need to know a real human is behind a given action at all times. Resilient identity now has to unite privacy protection and regulatory compliance with defense against deepfakes, synthetic identities, and injection attacks. Both have to hold at once, across onboarding, authentication, and every high-risk transaction that follows. How Incode is built for the Resilient Trust Pyramid shift. The document authentication depth from AuthenticID and the privacy-preserving cryptography layer from Identiq support Incode's proprietary network intelligence architecture, which lets financial institutions detect fraud patterns across institutional boundaries without exposing customer data or surrendering data sovereignty. AI-generated personas, deepfakes, and agentic fraud all require continuous verification that a human is actually present, not just identified. Incode is prioritizing partnerships where continuous trust is the ultimate goal. The report specifically called this out by mentioning Incode's collaboration with Interac, in which liveness detection is paired with network-level fraud intelligence to strengthen IDV while keeping friction low for legitimate customers.
