  • Ability to prepare analysis, reporting and recommendations for boards, senior management, committees and the annual MLRO reporting process.
  • Ability to support regulatory reviews, inspections and information requests from the Central Bank of Ireland and other competent authorities.
  • Ability to comply with corporate policies and procedures, including the Code of Conduct and applicable human-resources policies and procedures.
Responsibilities
  • Support the MLRO and overall manager of the Ireland Financial Crime team in executing and enhancing policies, procedures, systems and controls addressing financial crime risk.
  • Help lead financial crime compliance initiatives within the Ireland and broader EMEA framework.
  • Support identification and analysis of key anti-money-laundering regulatory developments.
  • Support the manager in delivering effective AML/CFT oversight and driving consistency in standards.
  • Assist with governance and management-information frameworks and coordinate responses to regulatory, business and control matters.
  • Act as a trusted advisor on financial crime matters within the assigned area of responsibility.
  • Maintain an effective, proportionate AML/CFT framework aligned with the firm's money-laundering and terrorist-financing risk profile.
  • Assist in developing, implementing and maintaining AML/CFT policies, procedures, systems and controls.
  • Support preparation, maintenance and periodic review of firm-wide and business risk assessments for money-laundering and terrorist-financing risk.
  • Contribute to ensuring the AML/CFT control framework is appropriately designed, documented, implemented and continuously reviewed.
  • Prepare and deliver analysis, reporting and recommendations on AML/CFT obligations, emerging risks, regulatory expectations and control weaknesses.
  • Support ongoing monitoring of compliance with applicable AML/CFT legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Assist in assessing customer due-diligence, enhanced due-diligence and ongoing-monitoring arrangements.
  • Support identification, investigation and escalation of unusual or suspicious activity, including preparation of materials for suspicious-transaction reporting.
  • Track AML/CFT breaches, control gaps and remediation actions, and support escalation and closure.
  • Assist in developing and maintaining AML/CFT management information and reporting for senior management and the Board.
  • Promote a strong AML/CFT culture and support risk-based AML/CFT training and awareness.
  • Support engagement with the Central Bank of Ireland and other competent authorities on AML/CFT matters.
  • Support periodic independent review and testing of the AML/CFT framework and track remediation findings.
  • Use technology, data analytics and AI-enabled tools to improve monitoring, reporting, documentation quality, workflow efficiency and risk insight.
  • Support the MLRO and broader EMEA Financial Crimes Compliance leadership team in implementing and operating the EMEA financial-crimes oversight framework.
  • Support the periodic financial-crime risk-assessment process for prescribed jurisdictions and coordinate stakeholder contributions.
  • Assist with implementation planning for changing regulatory requirements and expectations.
  • Support receipt, review and investigation of internal incident reports, including case analysis, documentation and escalation to relevant financial intelligence units.
  • Prepare materials, updates and reporting for senior management, committees and the annual MLRO reporting process, and follow up on agreed actions.
  • Work with internal training teams to develop and enhance induction and periodic financial-crime awareness training.
  • Support global and regional senior-leadership initiatives to strengthen the financial-crimes compliance programme.
  • Attend governance committees and working groups as a delegate, contributor or subject-matter expert.
  • Collaborate with fraud colleagues in first- and second-line teams as appropriate.
  • Identify opportunities to simplify, automate or strengthen control activities through technology and AI-enabled tools while maintaining documentation, oversight, data-handling discipline and governance compliance.
  • Contribute to effective governance of the Ireland and EMEA financial-crime compliance framework.
  • Participate actively in committees, forums and local governance processes by providing constructive challenge, clear analysis and practical support.
  • Support clear, appropriate and evidenced apportionment of responsibilities across relevant stakeholders.
  • Ensure issues, decisions, actions and risk themes are documented, tracked and escalated appropriately.
  • Support the manager in using management information, data analysis and technology-enabled insight to improve governance reporting, issue tracking and decision-making.
  • Notify management and/or the designated compliance officers of material regulatory breaches in accordance with escalation requirements.

Luminary raises $22M to scale AI wealth transfer platform supporting $500B in assets

Luminary, an AI-native wealth transfer and administration platform, has raised $22 million in Series A funding led by Ten Coves Capital. The round included participation from BNY and 8VC, bringing total funding to nearly $32 million since launching in 2021. The platform ingests estate documents and converts them into structured data that powers workflows for financial advisors, trust companies, law firms and accounting firms. This helps them scale guidance on tax-efficient wealth transfer strategy and trust administration. Luminary currently supports client assets totalling more than $500 billion. Customers include Caprock, IEQ Capital and Wealth Enhancement Group. The funding will be used to expand AI capabilities, integrations and administrative workflows, whilst growing the sales and business development teams.
