Requirements
  • Owned design projects from concept to implementation
  • Shipped entire end-to-end experiences across web and mobile
  • Ability to express desired UX metrics and create a plan to develop and evaluate them
  • Experience in early-stage UX practices such as task flows, wireframing, low-fidelity prototyping, workshop facilitation, and design research
  • Demonstrated ability to balance speed and quality while keeping customers' needs central to work
  • Sense of ownership and accountability for the team’s work and outcomes
  • Learning mindset and desire to learn continuously
  • Humility and willingness to share credit with team members and welcome collaboration, ideas, and feedback
Responsibilities
  • Partner with engineers, product managers, and other designers to shape the Homebase roadmap
  • Define how product offerings work together from a workflow, information architecture, and interaction design lens
  • Translate product offerings into high-quality final designs that customers will love
  • Take a leadership role in design critique and help implement the long-term vision for the Homebase Design Team
  • Influence colleagues through qualitative and quantitative data as well as generally-accepted best practices
Desired Qualifications
  • 5+ years of experience in product design in a consumer-grade SaaS environment
  • Significant experience leading customer discovery and user research efforts
  • Formal education in user experience design
  • Well-versed in Figma best practices
  • Passion for serving small businesses
