Requirements
  • A high school diploma or equivalent credential is required.
  • A valid California Class A driver's license with a T endorsement for doubles, triples, and tankers is required, along with manual transmission experience and a minimum age of 21.
  • A clean driving record and the ability to pass a background check and drug test are required.
  • Medical Certification Clearance Card and Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration Clearinghouse registration are required.
  • A minimum of 2 years of professional Class A vehicle driving experience and/or relevant training is required.
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills are required.
  • Knowledge of driving laws and regulations, speed-limit adherence, and procedures in the event of an accident in the warehouse or while driving is required.
  • Ability to drive for long hours and move and lift objects weighing up to 50 pounds is required.
  • Ability to work a five-day workweek with flexibility for overtime as needed is required.
  • Basic English proficiency for reading, writing, and oral communication is required.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to sequence tasks effectively and group similar items together are required.
Responsibilities
  • Safely operate heavy-duty commercial vehicles to transport goods and materials to various destinations while complying with federal, state, and local regulations and company policies.
  • Plan delivery routes strategically, taking traffic, weather, and road conditions into account to ensure timely deliveries.
  • Assist with loading and unloading cargo and secure items to prevent damage during transit.
  • Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to identify mechanical or safety issues and ensure the vehicle is roadworthy.
  • Coordinate with dispatch and customers to confirm delivery schedules, adjust to changes, and provide updates.
  • Maintain accurate delivery logs, bills of lading, and other required documentation in compliance with company and regulatory requirements.
  • Follow hours-of-service regulations and take required breaks to meet safety standards and reduce fatigue risks.
  • Keep the vehicle and cargo properly secured and safe for operation.
  • Promptly report maintenance or repair needs.
  • Maintain a clean and organized vehicle inside and out.
  • Provide customer service during deliveries and collaborate with warehouse teams to prepare and securely load orders.
Desired Qualifications
  • Previous delivery experience with wholesale products and in warehouse environments is strongly preferred.
  • Previous warehouse or distribution experience is beneficial but not mandatory.
