Epiroc wins large equipment order for platinum mine in South Africa.

Epiroc wins large equipment order for platinum mine in South Africa. Epiroc AB, a leading productivity and sustainability partner for the mining and infrastructure industries, has won a large order for underground mining equipment from Sibanye-Stillwater for a platinum mine in South Africa. Sibanye-Stillwater, one of the world's leading precious metals mining companies, will use the equipment for platinum mining at the Siphumelele shaft at its Rustenburg operations. Theorder includes low-profile loaders and utility vehicles, designed for use in mining applications with narrow veins. Sibanye-Stillwater will use the equipment as part of its ongoing project to mechanize the operation at the Siphumelele shaft, boosting safety and productivity. "We are proud to support the Siphumelele operation as it starts to use mechanized equipment," says Helena Hedblom, Epiroc's President and CEO. "It will strengthen Sibanye-Stillwater's continuous efforts to be as safe and productive as possible." Richard Cox, Chief Operating Officer, Southern Africa operations at Sibanye-Stillwater, says: "The investment in Siphumelele is an important example of our strategic focus on extending mine life and unlocking additional value from our existing ore reserves. Epiroc's low-profile fleet is well suited to the mining conditions at Siphumelele and will support the safe and efficient execution of this strategically important project." The ordered equipment includes the LHD 5.5 LP low-profile loader, UV42 utility vehicle, as well as a large range of UV42 cassettes. Derived from Epiroc's acquisition of AARD Mining Equipment in 2023, the low-profile underground equipment expands Epiroc's presence in critical support and service applications, further strengthening the Group's position in underground mining. The utility vehicles are designed to support general operations, maintenance, and logistics below the surface. The cassettes are interchangeable work decks that mount onto the utility vehicles and thus strengthen the utilization of the UV42 vehicles. The cassettes fulfill a variety of transportation functions such as for personnel, tools, explosives and more. Delivery of the equipment will begin in the fourth quarter 2026.

Epiroc inaugurates expanded hydraulic attachments facility in Sweden.

Epiroc inaugurates expanded hydraulic attachments facility in Sweden. The new facility represents a highly automated, advanced and scalable production hub for premium products. Sep 10, 2026 - 11:02 Epiroc AB is inaugurating an expanded manufacturing facility for hydraulic attachment tools in Kalmar, Sweden. The new facility reflects Epiroc's commitment to support customers in construction and other areas with top-quality products and solutions that strengthen productivity. The new facility represents a highly automated, advanced and scalable production hub for premium products. It is producing a full range of hydraulic breakers, from the smallest SB 52 to the largest HB 10 000. The breakers are attached on excavators and used by customers around the world in construction, demolition, quarrying, mining and infrastructure projects. "This expanded production capacity of high-quality hydraulic attachments strengthens our long-term commitment to our customers across the world," says Helena Hedblom, Epiroc's President and CEO. "The new top-modern facility truly represents production in world class." The expanded building, which covers more than 8,000 square meters, provides a significant increase in production capacity at the site. It is the result of Epiroc's decision to consolidate its European production of hydraulic attachments tools to Sweden. The consolidation creates a stronger and more efficient operation, increases capacity, and brings the full breaker range together in one production centre. Around 175 people work at the facility, including around 40 who have been added due to the expansion.

Epiroc's sustainability work earns Gold Medal again from EcoVadis.

Epiroc's sustainability work earns Gold Medal again from EcoVadis. Epiroc AB has for the second year in a row been awarded a Gold Medal by global sustainability ratings firm EcoVadis. Epiroc's sustainability work ranked among the top 2% of companies assessed. The rating reflects Epiroc's commitment to sustainability including its ambitious 2030 goals. EcoVadis evaluated more than 175 000 companies across four key areas: environment, labour and human rights, ethics and sustainable procurement. "Being recognised by EcoVadis is a testament to our commitment to sustainability," says Helena Hedblom, Epiroc's President and CEO. "Sustainability is at the core of our strategy and a driving force behind our innovation agenda. Together with our customers, we are advancing solutions that support both productivity and sustainability." Epiroc's rating underscores a strong performance across the four key areas. The company demonstrates leadership in environmental sustainability by continuously working on its ambitious climate targets, improving resource productivity, and advancing circularity across its operations and offerings. One current example is Epiroc's on-going ramp-up of the recycling of carbide used in drill bits. In the area of labour and human rights, Epiroc is committed to providing safe, fair and inclusive workplaces. Ethical governance is rooted in a strong culture of integrity and supported by robust compliance practices. Epiroc's sustainable procurement efforts are anchored in strong supplier partnerships and a commitment to responsible sourcing across the value chain. Epiroc's sustainability goals for 2030 include, among other things, to halve CO2e emissions. Its climate targets are validated by the Science Based Targets initiative as being in line with keeping global warming at a maximum 1.5° C. EcoVadis' standardised and independent ratings make it easier for customers to assess suppliers' sustainability performance. While the EcoVadis Gold Medal is awarded to companies scoring in the top 5%, Epiroc scored in the uppermost 2%. In June, TIME Magazine for the third year in a row listed Epiroc among the world's most sustainable companies.
