About the company

89th & Madison designs and sells women's clothing for everyday wear and focuses on affordable wardrobe essentials for casual and dressier settings. Its range spans knit tops, sweaters and woven separates, with petite and plus selections alongside regular sizes. Customers buy individual garments through physical stores and an online shop, where seasonal collections sit alongside everyday basics. The clothing is designed to move between workplace and weekend wear, and the broader catalog includes sleepwear and swimwear as well as accessories. The brand first sold through major retailers before developing its own retail channels to reach shoppers directly.

What believers are saying

  • Orlando's May 2026 store-manager posting included monthly performance incentives.
  • Peoria's May 2026 assistant-manager posting promised two weekends off each month.
  • A dedicated app supports repeat customer contact: 89th & Madison promotes app discounts, early access and giveaways.

What critics are saying

  • A May 2026 Peoria listing specified variable full-time hours: 32-40 weekly, adjusted to business needs.
  • Online returns carry customer friction: 89th & Madison charges $7 per returned package and does not refund shipping.
  • Online fulfillment leaves little room for corrections: 89th & Madison prohibits cancellations and address changes after ordering.

What makes 89th & Madison unique

  • Fit anchors its pants proposition: Little Black Pants use ultra-stretch fabric designed to sculpt without restricting movement.
  • Layering is built into one garment: the Madison Sweater uses a built-in layered look.
  • Pricing follows a stated marketing tradeoff: the brand says prices exclude markups for celebrity endorsements and expensive advertising.
