Requirements
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Logistics/Supply Chain, Engineering, or Business Management.
  • 3+ years in Information Systems / Business Analyst / Analytics roles in a logistics or transportation organization
  • Strong data management and modelling skills (Excel, SQL, Python)
  • Direct experience with transportation technology and volume planning
  • 3+ years of experience working with various cross functional teams locally and globally.
  • Project management experience in the development, implementation, and management of various size projects.
Responsibilities
  • Deliver ShipBob’s transit time, cost, and quality goals through a robust and dynamic configuration strategy.
  • Create clear standard operating procedures that will limit volume to under-performing carriers, maintain volume share targets tied to financial incentives, and protect against customer or merchant-facing issues such as label failures or stuck orders.
  • Partner closely with Forecasting and Network Strategy to create aligned volume plans that meet our cost and quality goals.
  • Support carrier and middle mile lane launches through the development and publication of robust, cross functional plans.
  • Develop and maintain a “single source of truth” for key configuration inputs including transit times, critical pull times, operating clocks, and capacity configurations.
  • Own reporting tied to carrier volume share actuals versus plan, reasons for lost attainment by optimal carriers, and volume caps for under-performing carriers by ZIP5.
  • Partner with Product and Technology teams to improve order allocation and carrier assignment as well as create new decision dimensions/criteria that improve customer experience or reduce cost.
  • Other duties/responsibilities as necessary.
