Requirements
  • A Bachelor's degree in an IT-related field.
  • Three to five years of supervisory experience supporting IT environments, including team management, hardware asset management, budget management, configuration management, and software distribution.
  • Excellent customer service, organizational, and leadership skills.
  • Excellent written, oral, interpersonal, and presentation communication skills, with demonstrated technical and team-management abilities.
  • Proven ability to lead and manage a diverse team of professionals, develop and implement programs to enhance staff skills, and provide mentorship and strategic guidance for career growth.
  • Ability to manage multiple high-level strategic initiatives simultaneously, meet deadlines, and track progress with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to exercise discretion and maintain confidentiality while handling sensitive data and holding local administrative access to desktop systems and data.
  • Ability to analyze and frame complex technical issues according to institutional policy and organizational governance and compliance requirements.
  • Demonstrated ability in change management and process re-engineering.
  • Understanding of enterprise IT components, wired and wireless networks, Voice over Internet Protocol, Active Directory, Lightweight Directory Access Protocol, information security, advanced desktop management tools, and advanced IT troubleshooting; ability to improve efficiency by automating tasks.
  • Willingness to travel as necessary.
Responsibilities
  • Strategically oversee and support IT operations and service delivery within the assigned service area, ensuring alignment with institutional goals.
  • Provide technical consultation on technology services outside the scope of the Office of Information Technology and engage IT support staff as needed.
  • Collaborate with campus leadership to strengthen IT service delivery and serve as the primary liaison between campus leadership and the Office of Information Technology.
  • Foster and sustain customer service excellence across IT functions.
  • Direct and enforce IT change-control processes in alignment with college-wide protocols.
  • Administer hardware and software assets according to statewide policies and procedures.
  • Recruit, lead, and develop IT support staff while ensuring team effectiveness and accountability.
  • Participate in IT budgeting and oversee technology-service expenditures.
  • Lead team-based projects to completion using project-management methodologies.
  • Build and maintain a collaborative team environment and develop and manage project plans for key initiatives.
  • Provide day-to-day operational leadership in IT in partnership with the Executive Director of IT Operations.
  • Direct, assign, track, and review Helpdesk requests and incidents to ensure timely resolution and adherence to Service Level Agreements.
  • Conduct quality reviews of Helpdesk tickets to verify accurate resolution, timely response, and respectful communication.
  • Facilitate escalation of complex incidents to statewide teams or supervisors.
  • Provide strategic leadership of IT teams to advance statewide Office of Information Technology goals and compliance standards.
  • Provide continuous leadership and coaching to direct and indirect reports.
  • Deliver technical expertise on services beyond Office of Information Technology shared services.
  • Serve on campus cabinets and boards and contribute IT leadership to institutional decision-making.
  • Maintain communication and collaboration with IT System Administrators and IT Network Administrators to meet campus service requirements.
  • Lead one or more statewide Office of Information Technology teams and contribute to shared services and institutional IT strategy.
