About the Job

Requirements

  • A minimum of 3 years of experience is required; the additional information also specifies a minimum of 5 years of experience in Automotive Digital Cockpit Solutions.
  • A minimum of 15 years of full-time education is required.
  • Strong hands-on experience in Android platform/AOSP development, including system-level debugging across framework/services and native layers.
  • Strong Bluetooth fundamentals, including architecture, profiles, common use cases, and understanding of the Android Bluetooth stack.
  • Strong Wi-Fi fundamentals, including STA/AP modes and standards, Wi-Fi Aware/RTT concepts, and understanding of Android Wi-Fi architecture.
  • Experience integrating Wi-Fi HAL surfaces (Vendor, Supplicant, and Hostapd) and familiarity with AIDL/HIDL patterns in Android.
  • Experience with A2DP, ARCVP, HFP/HSP, BLE GATT/GAP.
  • Understanding of RTP/RTSP, TCP/UDP, multicast/unicast streaming, and DLNA/Miracast/AirPlay/Chromecast concepts.
  • Proficiency in C/C++ and Java; Kotlin is beneficial for some Android system components.
  • Strong debugging skills using Android/system tools and platform diagnostics, and ability to work in low-power or constrained environments.
  • Experience with Bluetooth qualification tooling (sniffers/PTS) and supporting SIG qualification workflows.
  • Experience with Wi-Fi certification processes, test labs, or automation harness expectations.
  • Exposure to coexistence/interference mitigation and RF/performance issue triage in complex environments.
  • Exposure to Bluetooth audio codecs.
  • Knowledge of network performance tuning and latency optimization.
  • Experience supporting Android platform upgrades and compatibility requirements, including CTS/CDD alignment.

Responsibilities

  • Develop custom software solutions by designing, coding, and enhancing components across systems or applications, using modern frameworks and agile practices to deliver scalable, high-performing solutions tailored to business needs.
  • Lead bring-up and integration of Bluetooth/Wi-Fi stack components on Automotive Android OS, aligning with chipset firmware/driver deliverables from the hardware vendor.
  • Integrate and customize Android connectivity interfaces, including Vendor HAL, Supplicant HAL, and Hostapd HAL, and support transitions across AIDL/HIDL interface mechanisms as applicable to the Android baseline.
  • Work across Android build and tooling workflows, including source sync, build, and debugging, and use Android developer utilities for diagnostics and triage.
  • Enable core Bluetooth/Wi-Fi functions and implement IVI-specific connectivity features and use cases across the program lifecycle.
  • Support multi-display, multi-user, or other high-integration scenarios where connectivity must work reliably across concurrent user contexts.
  • Design and develop Bluetooth- and Wi-Fi-based audio/video streaming solutions.
  • Collaborate with platform/system teams to resolve end-to-end integration issues between the connectivity subsystem and the overall IVI platform.
  • Drive validation, debugging, and optimization of range/throughput performance, stability, and coexistence behavior in automotive environments.
  • Ensure readiness for Android platform compatibility expectations, including annual Android upgrades and CTS/CDD compliance where applicable.
  • Support certification readiness activities aligned with Bluetooth SIG and Wi-Fi Alliance programs by working with test teams/labs and providing engineering support for defects found during qualification.
  • Implement and maintain secure connectivity behaviors, such as secure pairing and encryption expectations, and support OTA update strategies, including firmware/stack patching and lifecycle updates.
  • Own defect triage and long-term maintenance, including root-cause analysis for complex system issues spanning framework, HAL, driver, and firmware boundaries.
  • Work closely with the chipset vendor, system integrator, and internal stakeholders to align interfaces, resolve integration blockers, and ensure continuous integration of the stack into the IVI platform.
