Requirements
  • Previous schedule management experience.
  • Working knowledge of Primavera and Microsoft Project.
  • Ability to plan, organize, and communicate with internal and external customers and stakeholders.
  • A proven successful project history covering cost, customer service, quality, safety, and schedule.

Responsibilities
  • Develop, implement, and maintain schedule processes and software systems to meet scheduling and planning needs while satisfying contract and customer requirements.
  • Upon contract award, create a project schedule template in the appropriate software platform for the project team to build a schedule.
  • During the bidding process, create a project schedule template in the appropriate software platform for the project team to build a proposal schedule if required.
  • Perform initial computer and user setup for new employees to enable use of the required scheduling software platform.
  • Maintain the resource list associated with the project server.
  • Ensure project teams have the appropriate training and software to develop schedules.
  • Review proposal, preliminary, and initial schedules for compliance with company and contract requirements, and advise and assist Operations when changes are needed.
  • Ensure all schedules are properly cost- and resource-loaded.
  • Maintain the baseline schedule for each project.
  • Interface with Operations to discuss work impacts and resolve problems.
  • Contribute to working schedules for Estimating before proposal dates, sufficiently illustrating work-activity sequence and contract time.
  • Assist Marketing in reviewing proposal schedules as needed.
  • Assist Operations with creating schedule-software program files for preliminary, initial, and pay-application schedules in accordance with company standards and contract requirements.
  • Assist Operations with controlling and managing in-progress project schedules.
  • Serve as technical advisor for schedule-process or schedule-software problems.
  • Assist Project Managers in creating short-term schedules or fragnets, monitor their impact on the master schedule, and help formulate corrective actions.
  • Manage and evaluate current schedule performance.
  • Provide information and advice on the content, modification, or presentation of project schedules.
  • Identify scheduling-software training needs, provide training when necessary, and remain current on scheduling-software advancements.
  • Continuously expand and update professional knowledge and training skills to enhance individual and team innovation and productivity.
  • Develop ongoing training programs and encourage project-team professional growth through training and open dialogue.
  • Maintain scheduling reports tracking the progress of all active projects and present this information in bi-weekly scheduling meetings.
  • Effectively manage staff by ensuring appropriate staffing, providing formal and informal evaluations and feedback, addressing employee issues when warranted, and providing appropriate training and mentoring.
