Responsibilities
Assist outside sales and aid customers by identifying needed items using parts catalogs and the computer system.
Bill merchandise orders and make entries into the inventory control system.
Distribute special-order parts and receive warranty parts.
Quote customers on needed products.
Provide customer service and support the outside sales team.
Maintain and create customer relationships.
Answer customer calls, take orders, answer questions, or direct customers to additional assistance.
Learn products and direct customers to the products they need.
Stay current with industry codes and standards through education webinars, seminars, and technical publications.
Use the operating system to create and release sales orders.
Stay current in door, frame, and finish hardware products.
Receive payments or obtain credit applications.
Provide budget or proposal pricing by compiling field measurements and/or reviewing specifications and plans, and convert successful proposals to orders.
Provide accurate information to support staff for order fulfillment.
Perform other related duties as necessary or assigned.
Support sales, networking, and promotional activities.
Learn and use industry and product knowledge.
Perform data entry.
