Students must be currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Mechanical Engineering, Mathematics, or a very similar area.
Responsibilities
Perform job site administration and documentation under supervision.
Assist in developing and maintaining a Critical Path Method schedule.
Track one or more of the following: submittals, requests for information, contract change orders, daily cost versus project budget, quantities and equipment, and project logs.
Attend bid review meetings with the estimating team to understand the estimate process.
Review proposal specifications, drawings, soils reports, and existing site conditions to determine scope of work.
Complete material and quantity takeoffs according to project scope of work.
Assist the superintendent and foreman with layout and other technical requirements.
Assist with diesel emissions control plans and monitoring.
Prepare work plans and storm water protection plans.
Perform additional assignments as directed by a supervisor.

What you can expect
As a summer intern you can expect to handle a variety of real world tasks in support of our Project Managers, Estimators, Project Engineers and or field personnel. Below is an example of intern responsibilities:

You will be given as much responsibility as you are willing to accept.

Qualifications
Students must be currently pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in one of the following areas or a very similar area:
Civil Engineering
Construction Management
Mechanical Engineering
Mathematics
Hourly Wage Range
$24.00 - $28.00 (depending on internship and educational experience).
