- A bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent work experience.
- Five to nine years of hands-on experience building software with Java, Spring, and Spring Boot.
- Demonstrated use of AI-assisted coding tools and integration of AI features with responsible-use practices.

- Ability to implement guardrails for AI-enabled features, including policy checks, content filters, personally identifiable information safety, and robust prompt and response telemetry.
- Ability to design deterministic wrappers around model calls, including timeouts, retries, backoff, and caching, and capture traceability for audit and compliance.
- Experience collaborating on evaluation harnesses for AI features, including quality metrics, latency budgets, and failure modes.
- Thorough knowledge and experience in both frontend and backend development using Angular, Java, Node.js, CSS, JSON, and JavaScript.
- Proficiency in application frameworks and containerization, with broad experience in multiplatform development tools and toolkits.
- Prior lead experience selecting and implementing vendor-specific methodologies and prior consulting experience with structured methodologies.
- Consult with Product to provide high-level application software development services and technical support.
- Program well-designed, testable, and efficient code and integrate software components into fully functional software systems.
- Analyze, design, and develop tests and create automated test cases and documentation to satisfy requirements and solutions.
- Maintain software functionality and currency, actively participate in code reviews, and apply security and privacy principles.
- Implement Java and Spring Boot microservices and application programming interfaces, build features, fix defects, and deliver production-ready code with strong automated testing.
- Apply AI-assisted coding and AI coding practices, including prompting, code suggestions, and test generation, while ensuring code quality, security, and maintainability.
- Integrate AI features into applications, including inference endpoints, prompt orchestration, retrieval-augmented generation flows, and embeddings, with guardrails, input/output validation, and auditability.
- Contribute to data access design and performance by writing efficient queries, tuning connection pools, and implementing transactional integrity and error handling.
- Collaborate with technical leads and product partners to refine requirements, acceptance criteria, and sprint goals, and maintain API contracts, architecture decision records, and README documentation.
- Support continuous integration and continuous delivery pipeline tasks, including builds, tests, artifacts, and environment configurations, and contribute to automated quality gates and release safety.
- Experience in the securities or financial services industry.
