DevOps Engineer
About the job
- At least 2 years of experience with Kubernetes, GitLab, and Terraform.
- Cloud knowledge; Google Cloud Platform is preferred.
- Experience establishing or developing continuous integration pipelines; Azure DevOps and GitLab are preferred.
- Experience establishing or developing continuous delivery pipelines; Azure DevOps and GitLab are preferred.
- Experience provisioning cloud infrastructure and re-platforming applications into a cloud environment.
- Experience developing, deploying, and supporting large-scale systems.
- Experience working in an Agile environment.
- A degree in Computer Science or Software Engineering is preferred.
- Current understanding of best practices regarding system security measures.
- Experience working with teams from several departments to facilitate orderly execution of a proposed project plan.
- Must be located in the United States.
- Must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship; subcontracting and visa sponsorship are not available.
- Analyze the company’s current technology stack and develop a strategy to continuously improve application delivery.
- Establish milestones to measure and monitor software delivery and reliability as strategies are implemented.
- Identify manual processes during the software development lifecycle that can be automated.
- Develop a cloud-migration strategy for software not currently hosted in a cloud environment.
- Periodically review the company’s infrastructure and hosting costs to identify opportunities for savings.
- Establish best practices and mentor other engineers in enterprise-level DevOps solutions.
- Support developers and customers using the infrastructure being developed, and serve as the company’s first line of defense in protecting its platform against hackers and viruses.
- Experience with .NET, Node.js, Go, Vue, or Angular is preferred.
