Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • At least five years of experience as a tire service technician.
  • Experience with Off-The-Road tire service.
  • Minimum Class B commercial driver's license.
  • Valid state driver's license and qualification to operate a vehicle under the company's Driving Policy.
  • Ability to pass drug, driving, and background screenings.
  • Knowledge of tire service repairs and replacements for construction-related equipment.
  • Strong understanding of Off-The-Road tire mounting, dismounting, repair, and service procedures.
  • Ability to operate service trucks and associated hydraulic and tire service equipment safely.
  • Ability to work independently in remote field locations and with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to read and interpret specifications, manuals, and safety documentation.
  • Ability to operate a motor vehicle safely and efficiently in compliance with Department of Transportation regulations.
  • Ability to work outdoors in harsh and extreme weather and remote jobsite conditions.
  • Ability to travel frequently to field locations and work occasional after-hours callouts.
Responsibilities
  • Repair and replace construction and Off-The-Road equipment tires, from light truck tires through large loader and heavy equipment tires.
  • Safely operate and maintain a mobile service truck.
  • Respond to field service calls in extreme and remote weather conditions.
  • Communicate professionally with customers and accurately document work through detailed work orders.
  • Communicate via phone or radio with customers, dispatch, and supervisors.
  • Complete work orders and track tires, tools, and materials used during service calls.
  • Perform routine inspection and maintenance of the service vehicle and equipment.
  • Maintain good housekeeping of the service truck and shop area.
  • Handle scrap or take-off tires and dispose of them in designated areas.
  • Practice workplace safety and report unsafe conditions.
  • Manage customer situations, respond promptly to customer needs, and meet commitments.
  • Use independent judgment, make sound field decisions, and develop alternative solutions when necessary.
  • Prioritize and plan work activities, use time efficiently, and complete tasks accurately.
  • Perform other duties as directed.
