- Six-month commitment (June - December)
- Studying toward a degree in chemical engineering, materials science, chemistry, or related field
- Exceptional analytical and documentation skills
- Ability to learn new skills and ask for help when needed
- Capable of working independently with direction
- Wear personal protective equipment including lab coat, gloves, safety glasses, and steel toe safety shoes
- Operate analytical equipment at a bench
- Move long distances and be stationary for extended periods of time
- Operate a computer and other office equipment
- Start date is June 10, 2024
- Working on specific process development projects with the engineering team
- Performing material syntheses and workup, and fabricating product prototypes under guidance of senior engineers
- Designing, running, and analyzing experiments to characterize the chemical and morphological properties of nanomaterials and product prototypes
- Thorough documentation and presentation of results, with conclusions and recommendations, to deliver to engineering mentors, management and other stakeholders
- Development and execution of novel analytical methods to characterize product prototypes
