Requirements
  • A minimum of 10 years of software development experience, with at least 5 years focused on full-stack development.
  • Experience with artificial-intelligence-first engineering and use of Claude, Copilot, and other tools.
  • Strong understanding of object-oriented design principles and how to architect both a user interface and an application programming interface.
  • Proven full-stack capability, including comfort owning or collaborating on backend-for-frontend and application programming interface layers.
  • Extensive experience with cross-browser and cross-platform development, including mobile and responsive user interfaces.
  • Experience developing and architecting high-transaction, high-throughput systems.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead distributed teams across time zones with strong personal accountability.
  • Experience with continuous integration and continuous delivery, Agile methodologies, and open-source technologies.
Responsibilities
  • Own the architecture, quality, and delivery of the Angular application and related application programming interfaces and services.
  • Define and enforce coding standards, patterns, and best practices across mobile and full-stack development, and drive adoption of an artificial-intelligence-first engineering mindset.
  • Drive technical roadmap decisions and align them with product goals, timelines, and the broader engineering organization.
  • Provide technical expertise in architecture, design, testing, and implementation spanning web user interfaces through backend application programming interface contracts and large language model integration patterns.
  • Lead in-depth code reviews and conduct root cause analysis of critical production issues.
  • Engage with and potentially influence industry groups or open-source communities.
  • Own end-to-end delivery of web features from technical scoping through release and production monitoring.
  • Break down complex requirements into actionable engineering tasks, milestones, and clear ownership across a distributed team.
  • Identify and proactively mitigate technical risk throughout the development lifecycle.
  • Maintain and improve continuous integration and continuous delivery pipelines and release management processes for both platforms.
  • Create and maintain best practices for observability and logging across all application layers.
  • Develop and deploy solutions with performance, security, and accessibility in mind from the start.
  • Lead and mentor a geographically distributed team across the Americas and India, fostering engineering culture and accountability across time zones.
  • Collaborate with Product, Design, Quality Assurance, and Backend team members to develop and maintain business solutions following Agile principles.
  • Initiate and lead efforts toward organizational goals, help build the engineering organization, and continuously improve practices.
  • Participate in hiring by reviewing resumes, conducting technical interviews, and evaluating candidates.
  • Set clear expectations for full-time employees and contractors and raise the technical bar across contributors.
  • Ensure software quality engineering by keeping engineers current on best practices, automated testing, alerting, and proactive production support.
Desired Qualifications
  • Experience with large language model and artificial-intelligence-native development patterns and integrating artificial-intelligence-powered features into consumer products.
  • Experience leading teams of five or more engineers across multiple geographies.
  • Familiarity with service-oriented architecture and microservices.
  • Background in mobile accessibility, including Web Content Accessibility Guidelines and platform accessibility application programming interfaces.
  • Background in financial technology, consumer lending, or similarly regulated industries.
  • Curiosity, adaptability, and openness to learning as artificial-intelligence-enabled tools and workflows evolve.
