Requirements
  • A Master's degree in Nursing is required; a Bachelor's degree in Nursing plus five years of relevant experience may be considered in lieu of the Master's degree.
  • A current license in the state of practice as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse is required.
  • Basic Life Support certification is required.
Responsibilities
  • Perform and/or coordinate patient care in the area of expertise using the nursing process in collaboration with physicians and other healthcare providers across the continuum of care.
  • Demonstrate advanced nursing skills through assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of complex patients in the specialty area.
  • Communicate the plan of care in the area of expertise to other members of the interdisciplinary team.
  • Provide care for patients of all ages according to standards of care specific to individual needs.
Desired Qualifications
  • A doctoral degree in Nursing is preferred.
  • Experience managing patients across the care continuum is preferred.
  • Board certification from the National Certification Corporation is preferred.
  • A controlled substance license in the state of practice is preferred.
  • A Federal DEA license is preferred.
  • Neonatal Resuscitation Program certification is preferred.
