Requirements
  • A bachelor's degree in statistics, mathematics, engineering, business/finance, or a related field is required.
  • Four to six years of experience trading financial products such as options or futures is required.
  • Strong analytical, quantitative, and mathematical skills are required.
  • Experience with Python is required.
  • The candidate must be able to work independently and manage multiple tasks in a complex, fast-paced environment.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail are required.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required.
  • The candidate must demonstrate a strong work ethic and a team-oriented approach focused on contributing to the trading desk's success.
Responsibilities
  • Operate grey-box and black-box algorithmic trading strategies in accordance with the trading desk's objectives.
  • Monitor trading activity and positions consistently throughout the shift.
  • Perform research and post-trade analysis using the firm's research tools across a variety of algorithmic trading strategies to improve the profitability of existing models.
  • Apply expertise in market microstructure, historical tick data, and quantitative modeling to conduct research and develop new sources of alpha.
  • Work closely with strategy developers to collaborate on, propose, and test strategy-specific code changes related to execution, pricing, and risk management.
  • Communicate with risk managers and internal technology groups regarding production issues.
  • Build and maintain quantitative modeling tools and analytics.
  • Work with the back office to resolve trade breaks and position and activity reconciliation exceptions.
