Requirements
The contractor shall possess a master's degree for a Nurse Practitioner certification/degree and license.
The candidate must be a licensed and board-certified Nurse Practitioner.
The candidate must be knowledgeable of the medical and legal aspects of patient care in a law enforcement work environment.
The candidate must have experience in occupational medicine and apply Occupational Safety and Health Administration standards to control hazards and recognize resulting conditions.
Responsibilities
Perform medical records review and compare results to United States Secret Service medical standards to determine appropriate medical status.
Provide leadership, expert advice, and direction on Occupational Health program requirements and procedures to internal and external stakeholders.
Secure health and medical history from patient records and research findings, and construct clinical and medical evaluation reports.
Perform initial work-up and assessment of patient care and treatment, and determine the need for laboratory tests, X-rays, and other medical procedures after consultation with appropriate medical staff.
Serve as an agency liaison in responding to information requested by United States Secret Service leadership, the Department of Labor, the Office of Personnel Management, the Department of Homeland Security, and other stakeholders regarding employees' medical treatment, disability, and case management.
Perform standard clinical duties as necessary, including laboratory blood draws, urine specimen collection, electrocardiograms, obtaining vital signs, and conducting hearing and vision tests.
