Time2plug delivers end-to-end EV charging solutions in France for homes and businesses, handling site analysis, equipment selection, installation by a network of installers, and ongoing management. Its platform automates quotes and speeds up deployment, while a proprietary supervision software lets clients manage access and monitor usage in real time, with a white-label option for partners. The company differentiates itself with a turnkey, fully managed service, a large installer network, faster deployment times (under 45 days vs. ~90 days), and a scalable platform that can be branded by partners. After a 56% stake was acquired by TotalEnergies, Time2plug operates as a TotalEnergies subsidiary to expand its reach in France and Europe and accelerate electric mobility adoption.

What believers are saying

  • TotalEnergies still markets Time2plug prominently in 2026, signaling ongoing commercial support.
  • LinkedIn hiring in 2026 shows active operations roles and continued team expansion.
  • ADVENIR-backed enterprise demand and LOM obligations sustain French charging installations through 2025.

What critics are saying

  • TotalEnergies now owns the customer relationship, compressing Time2plug's strategic autonomy by 2026.
  • Rivals like Legrand and Schneider Electric bundle hardware, software, and service across France.
  • If TotalEnergies reassigns priorities after 2026, Time2plug becomes an internal tool, not a company.

What makes Time2plug unique

  • TotalEnergies controls 56% since December 2023, giving Time2plug captive distribution.
  • Time2plug automates quotes and installations, cutting client timelines to five weeks.
  • Its certified installer network and white-label supervision software differentiate B2B expansion.
