Requirements
  • A bachelor's degree in environmental-related science, engineering, or a related field is required.

Responsibilities
  • Act as a technical expert in air quality, atmospheric emissions, and decarbonization on varied projects.
  • Contribute to business development, including preparing proposals and service offers in Canada and internationally.
  • Participate in the strategic development of the Air and Decarbonization practice in collaboration with leadership.
  • Lead or manage projects within the area of expertise, including defining tasks, preparing schedules, coordinating resources, and tracking deliverables.
  • Provide advanced technical support and serve as a resource for project teams while contributing to colleague mentoring and development.
  • Collaborate with clients, government agencies, and municipal authorities to define study needs and conditions of execution.
  • Conduct and coordinate sectoral studies as part of provincial and federal environmental impact assessments.
  • Identify atmospheric-emission sources, select appropriate emission factors, and calculate emission rates.
  • Write and review protocols, specifications, studies, technical reports, and atmospheric-emissions models, and propose mitigation measures suited to processes and operations.
  • Contribute to greenhouse-gas inventories, decarbonization strategies, life-cycle analyses, and net-zero plans in accordance with recognized standards and protocols, including ISO 14064, the Greenhouse Gas Protocol, and PAS 2080.
  • Prepare and review applicable regulatory declarations, including NPRI, IQEA, RDOCECA, and PDGES.
  • Ensure the technical quality of deliverables and contribute to the continuous improvement of practices and work methods.
Desired Qualifications
  • At least 15 years of experience is preferred.
  • A master's degree in environmental studies, science, engineering, or a related field is preferred.
  • Membership in the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec is preferred.
  • Experience as an environmental project director is preferred.
  • Experience as a client-account lead is preferred.
  • Training or certification in ISO 14064, SASB, FSA, or GRI is preferred.
  • Experience training personnel on atmospheric-modeling tools such as AERMOD, CALPUFF, and Python is preferred.
  • Experience preparing ESG and sustainable-development reports and declarations is preferred.
  • Advanced knowledge of Quebec's Environment Quality Act and REAFIE is preferred.
