Requirements
- An Associate Degree in Nursing is required.
- An active Registered Nurse license is required.
- Current Basic Life Support certification is required.
- Current Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support certification is required.
- Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills are required.
- Knowledge of patient assessment techniques and nursing best practices is required.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office or related software is required.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods is required.
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds and push up to 300 pounds is required.
- Visual acuity, depth perception, and fine motor coordination are required.
Responsibilities
- Perform nursing assessments, obtain vital signs, and maintain accurate clinical documentation.
- Evaluate patient conditions and promptly communicate significant findings to providers and care teams.
- Assist with developing, implementing, and updating individualized patient care plans.
- Collaborate with patients, families, physicians, and clinical staff to support treatment goals.
- Provide nursing care throughout pre-procedure, procedural, and recovery phases.
- Monitor patient status, responses to treatment, and overall progress throughout the care continuum.
- Document observations and patient outcomes according to established standards.
- Provide guidance and oversight to support staff while promoting adherence to clinical protocols.
- Participate in team meetings, continuing education, and professional development activities.
- Maintain compliance with facility policies, ethical standards, and evidence-based nursing practices.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Desired Qualifications
- Ambulatory Surgery Center experience is preferred.
- Pain Management experience is preferred.
- Experience with Athena EHR is preferred.
- A Bachelor of Science in Nursing is preferred.
- Certified Post Anesthesia Nurse certification is preferred.
