Requirements
  • A medical degree (MD, DO, or equivalent) from an accredited institution is required.
  • Successful completion of an accredited Pediatric or Medicine/Pediatric residency program is required.
  • Fellowship training and board certification or board eligibility in Adolescent Medicine are required.
  • State medical licensure, or eligibility to obtain licensure, in Wisconsin is required.
Responsibilities
  • Provide clinical care to children, adolescents, and their families.
  • Collaborate with partners to care for, support, and empower youth, including through behavioral health, adolescent eating disorder, detention-center, school, health department, and reproductive health initiatives.
  • Partner with faculty in clinical practices at Children’s Wisconsin and the Medical College of Wisconsin to deliver care to children and families.
  • Provide inpatient consult services with an on-call component and maintain an ambulatory presence within the community.
  • Provide primarily clinical services, with 90% clinical activity and 10% scholarly activity.
  • Provide outpatient adolescent medicine care across multiple clinical locations in Milwaukee, addressing physical and psychosocial needs.
  • Develop innovative programs to increase access to prevention services and medical care.
  • Provide specialized care for eating disorders, hormonal regulation, reproductive health, and incarcerated adolescents and young adults.
  • Expand community outreach and broaden services to include substance abuse counseling and treatment.
