Requirements
  • Two years of customer service experience is required.
  • A Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Science from an accredited college or university is required.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen.
  • Must meet all security eligibility requirements and pass a background investigation.
  • Must be able to maneuver and use web-based applications.
  • Must have strong verbal and vocal skills, writing skills, and technical acumen.
  • Must be able to navigate challenging customer interactions professionally and empathetically, de-escalate situations, and maintain service standards.
Responsibilities
  • Provide timely and accurate responses to travelers' inquiries about government-developed and managed applications for re-entry, visa renewal services, and other travel and immigration topics.
  • Respond to live contacts using provided responses and materials.
  • Identify multiple questions, concerns, or inquiries in email and respond using government-approved response templates.
  • Enter accurate information in the Customer Database, select appropriate contact subject categories and up to five resolutions, and add pertinent notes or comments to contact records.
  • Transfer reportable communications to the appropriate department.
  • Answer customer questions, make referrals, and clarify policies and procedures.
  • Provide general travel assistance information.
  • Provide information about filing claims with the government.
