About the job
- At least 7 years of construction, industrial, or environmental health and safety experience.
- At least 3 years of safety leadership or regional management experience.
- Experience supervising, mentoring, and developing safety professionals.
- OSHA 30-Hour Construction certification is required.
- Strong knowledge of OSHA, ANSI, and construction safety requirements.
- Experience with safety audits, incident investigations, risk assessments, and corrective actions.
- Strong understanding of high-risk construction activities.
- Ability to analyze safety trends and drive measurable improvements.
- Ability and willingness to travel regularly between assigned jobsites.
- Lead regional safety programs, policies, and initiatives.
- Oversee Safety Supervisors and Safety Coordinators across the region.
- Conduct site inspections, audits, and risk assessments.
- Monitor high-risk activities and ensure appropriate safety planning.
- Lead and oversee significant incident investigations and corrective actions.
- Ensure OSHA, ANSI, company, and project safety requirements are met.
- Coordinate safety training, orientations, and emergency preparedness.
- Monitor regional safety performance, trends, and compliance.
- Partner with Project Managers, Superintendents, and field leadership.
- Track corrective actions and address recurring or significant safety concerns.
- Provide safety performance updates and recommendations to the Director of Safety.
- Exercise Stop Work authority when serious safety risks are identified.
- Drive continuous improvement across regional safety operations.
- CSHO, CSP, ASP, CHST, OSHA 500, or comparable credentials are preferred.
- A bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
