Requirements
  • 1+ years experience as Systems or Hardware Engineer in consumer product or advanced automotive technology companies
  • M.S. or higher in Automotive Engineering, Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering or related field. (will consider strong B.S. candidate)
  • CAD experience
  • Hands-on vehicle integration experience
  • Vehicle communication (i.e., CAN, LIN, etc) and power experience
  • Ability to understand and debug electrical and software systems required
  • Strong communication skills. Team player
  • Ability to be hands-on to manufacture and integrate components onto various platforms
  • Data-driven decision-making and quantitative analysis skills
  • Proven track record of taking ownership, a motivated self-starter that can work independently
  • Proven success in delivering technology products/services in a high growth, ambiguous environment.
Responsibilities
  • Design, fabrication, and prototyping of various electromechanical systems
  • Ability to understand, support, and debug complex systems with electrical, mechanical and software aspects
  • Integrate hardware on vehicles through CAN and LIN interfaces
  • Debug and troubleshoot vehicle system faults
  • Ensure hardware platforms are working properly with minimal downtime
  • Revisioning and release of drawings/documents for internal and external use
  • Improve existing processes and techniques for assembly of prototype components
  • Collaborate with other members of the Arene Advanced Development group
  • Ability to understand, support, and work within a large multi-team project focused on developing user focused concept vehicles
  • Occasionally travel internationally to achieve product adoption goals.
Desired Qualifications
  • Experience in prototyping and 3D printing a plus
  • Experience in machine shop/fabrication a plus
  • Python and Linux scripting experience
