Respiratory Therapy Intern
About the job
- Must be enrolled in an accredited respiratory therapist program and have successfully completed the first semester.
- Must remain active in the respiratory therapy program to maintain employment status in the respiratory therapy department, and must complete the program within three years from its start.
- Must have a current American Heart Association Basic Life Support card.
- Must have basic electronic medical record documentation skills.
- Provide respiratory therapy to patients as ordered by the prescribing physician, appropriate to the ages of the patients served.
- Monitor levels of department supplies and equipment in accordance with established procedures, and stock the supply room and patient care areas as needed.
- May perform respiratory services ordered by a provider under the supervision of a credentialed Respiratory Care Practitioner.
- Basic electronic medical record documentation skills are preferred.
