About the job

Requirements
  • Extensive experience delivering production software engineering, either as a software engineer with significant client-facing or consulting exposure or in a prior forward deployed engineering role.
  • A demonstrable track record of shipping AI-native systems into production, including LLM-powered applications, agentic workflows, retrieval-augmented generation pipelines, or multi-agent orchestration using frameworks such as LangChain, LangGraph, LlamaIndex, CrewAI, or AutoGen.
  • Full-stack engineering capability, including strong backend skills in Python and at least one of TypeScript or Java, with the ability to build front-end surfaces when required.
  • Experience deploying to cloud environments such as AWS, Google Cloud Platform, or Azure through continuous integration and continuous delivery pipelines, infrastructure as code such as Terraform or Helm, and containerization such as Kubernetes or Docker; ability to own production operations end to end.
  • Strong data engineering fundamentals, including pipelines, structured and unstructured datasets, and reasoning about data quality in real-world environments.
  • Experience designing and deploying enterprise AI applications, including agentic workflows, retrieval-augmented generation pipelines, vector databases, embeddings, and semantic search.
  • Ability to scope ambiguous real-world problems, move quickly from diagnosis to working software, and operate with high autonomy in unfamiliar client environments.
  • Cross-functional communication skills to run design workshops, present to technical and executive audiences, write clear documentation, and build trusted relationships with client engineering teams.
  • Fluency in English to embed with DACH clients, facilitate workshops, and represent Accenture Song in client environments.
Responsibilities
  • Design, build, and ship production-grade AI applications directly inside client systems, including custom agents, LLM-powered workflows, Model Context Protocol servers, sub-agents, and agent skills integrated with clients’ existing technology estates.
  • Own the complete delivery stack, including backend logic, API integrations, front-end surfaces, and cloud infrastructure; write whatever is needed to unblock delivery without relying on a hand-off queue.
  • Run rapid prototype cycles to validate AI approaches, then drive them into production while maintaining the rigor required in enterprise environments.
  • Integrate AI-native capabilities with client platforms, including APIs, data pipelines, identity systems, and enterprise tooling, so AI workflows operate within existing client environments.
  • Operate inside client environments as a trusted technical partner by attending team ceremonies, gaining access to production systems, understanding organizational dynamics, and building relationships that support complex deployments.
  • Scope ambiguous problems into tractable engineering challenges and identify where AI-native approaches will and will not provide leverage.
  • Monitor, debug, and optimize deployed systems; handle incidents; and ensure stability before handing systems over to client teams.
  • Translate complex AI behaviors, including reasoning traces, confidence states, agentic actions, and fallback flows, into transparent, controllable user experiences in collaboration with Experience Designers.
  • Communicate technical trade-offs and deployment realities to engineering teams and executive stakeholders, making complex AI architecture understandable without oversimplifying it.
  • Identify reusable architectures, integration approaches, and deployment patterns; document them and feed them back into the practice as accelerators for future engagements.
  • Run code-with sessions and workshops to transfer knowledge, raise client teams’ technical capability, and enable them to maintain delivered systems.
  • Bring field insights back to the studio, including client needs, production issues, and AI capabilities ready for enterprise deployment, to inform offering development and go-to-market thinking.
  • Move from problem framing through prototype to production deployment within a client engagement, leaving maintainable systems, documentation, and reusable patterns before moving to the next client.
Desired Qualifications
  • Experience building technical artifacts associated with the forward deployed engineering model, such as Model Context Protocol servers, sub-agents, agent skills, custom connectors, or production LLM evaluation harnesses.
  • Background in a forward deployed, solutions engineering, or technical consulting role at a product company, AI lab, or professional services firm, with multi-week client embeddings and end-to-end delivery ownership.
  • Design literacy, including familiarity with design systems, component libraries, or human-centered design processes, and comfort collaborating with Product Designers and Experience Designers as an equal creative partner.
  • Experience applying responsible AI in production, including guardrails, content filtering, human-in-the-loop design, auditability, and bias evaluation in enterprise-grade AI systems.
  • A portfolio demonstrating a forward deployed engineering approach through shipped systems, such as open-source tools, production agents, client case studies, or startup work showing ownership of outcomes.

Accenture jumps 19% on earnings beat as SEC opens private assets to retail investors

Accenture shares rose about 19% after the consulting firm beat earnings and revenue expectations for its fiscal 2026 year, and guided fiscal 2027 slightly above Wall Street forecasts. Revenue grew 5% in local currency; management expects 3% to 6% growth next year. Non-GAAP operating margin edged up to 15.8%. The stock had dipped below 10 times expected earnings and now trades at about 14 times. Accenture said 65% of new bookings came from outcome-based fixed-price projects, which a Motley Fool contributor called a counterweight to AI's unpredictable costs. Separately, new US Securities and Exchange Commission rules aim to open private assets to retail investors. They raise the performance fee cap for registered advisers, add professional licences as a route to accredited investor status, and give private funds more leeway on redemptions.

TÜV SÜD and Accenture unveil physical AI safety suite to bring factories online up to 30% sooner

TÜV SÜD and Accenture are working with NVIDIA technologies to speed up safety certification of robots in factories and warehouses. They unveiled a joint "Physical AI Safety Suite" at NVIDIA GTC Berlin. The suite uses digital twins, AI agents, and simulations to partly replace manual assessments. TÜV SÜD estimates the digital process could bring production online up to 30% sooner. Certification against standards such as ISO 3691-4 is mandatory in many industrial countries before automated facilities can start. At a medium-sized plant, agreeing on safety concepts can take several weeks. The suite checks layouts, robot fleets, and individual robots before deployment. TÜV SÜD provides independent assessment and keeps responsibility for certification.

Accenture caps staff AI spending at $29 a month after $1,000 bills

Accenture has capped employee AI spending at $29 (£21.75) a month after some staff ran up bills of $1,000, according to a report by 404 Media. The consulting firm wants to curb runaway costs as employees use AI for more everyday tasks. Companies are typically billed by usage, like a utility. Last week, some staff were told their access to Anthropic's Claude had been pulled entirely. Others are also reining in costs. Uber capped engineers' Claude spending at $1,500 a month after using up its AI budget in four months, while Microsoft has reportedly cut its Claude spending by about a third. The curbs come as Anthropic prepares for a public listing, targeting a valuation as high as $2tn. Investors are reportedly considering about $1.5tn.
