Responsibilities
  • The development of advanced content material with an emphasison security, networking, connectivity (wired and wireless) and cloud solutions.

  • The design and deployment of virtual and physical infrastructures to provide hands-on labs for the higher levels of the Fortinet Network Security Expert training and certification program.
  • The update of all the environments deployed for hands-on labs of the higher levels of the Fortinet Network Security Expert training and certification program.
  • The design and deployment of the Fortinet Certified Expert (FCX) practical exam.
  • The alpha and beta tests of the deployed infrastructures mentioned above.
  • The appropriate documentation of all the material and environments designed and deployed for hands-on labs and content development.
  • The adaptation of any current Fortinet Network Security Expert content to deliver it to internal events, but not limited to SE Summits, Xperts Academy, Accelerate and special focused training events.
  • The coordination and proctoring of special sessions destined to design, update and build advanced training programs such as Fortinet Certified Expert (FCX).

AI hacking attacks jump 89% as cybersecurity stocks split into platforms and point solutions

AI-powered hacking attacks jumped 89% last year, according to CrowdStrike's own threat report. The finding is pushing buyers to choose between one connected security platform and a pile of separate tools. CrowdStrike's Falcon Flex bundling programme has grown its contracted value past $2 billion, more than doubling in a year. Palo Alto Networks added about 220 "platformization" deals in a recent quarter, more than twice the pace of two years earlier. Fortinet is using its lead in network firewalls to cross-sell. SentinelOne, Cloudflare, and Zscaler make thinner platform cases. Okta remains a point solution focused on verifying logins. CrowdStrike and Palo Alto Networks are both down more than 13% from their October 6 record highs, amid reports that OpenAI may buy a cybersecurity startup.

An integrated approach to protecting industrial operations with AI-enabled security and rugged connectivity Continued ransomware attacks on manufacturing and geopolitically motivated attacks on critical infrastructure are increasing pressure on operational technology (OT) security teams. Threat actors are also using artificial intelligence (AI) to support efforts to disrupt OT infrastructure. One operating system, independently validated to IEC 62443 across three release lines and every FortiGate form factor, from the control center to the substation Industrial organizations rarely rely on just one type of network firewall. A utility may use high-capacity appliances in its control center, ruggedized units in substations, wireless-enabled devices at remote sites, and virtual firewalls in the cloud. Every enforcement point must meet the organization's security requirements, but verifying compliance across sites and models can be slow and costly. Today, Fortinet announced that the FortiOS Product Family has achieved IEC 62443 certification. The certification covers the FortiOS-powered FortiGate, FortiGate Rugged, FortiWiFi, and FortiGate virtual machine (VM) platforms. The family is certified to IEC 62443-4-2 Security Level 4 (SL4), the highest level the standard defines for components. It is built following a Secure Product Development Lifecycle (SPDL) certified to IEC 62443-4-1 Maturity Level 2 (ML2).
