Nozomi Networks and Schweitzer Engineering Laboratories expand global partnership to advance Cyber Resilience for critical infrastructure. Oct 20, 2026, 06:00 ET Expanded offerings combine OT SDN visibility, ruggedized security monitoring, lifecycle cybersecurity services and compliance expertise to help operators strengthen resilience and regulatory readiness. SAN FRANCISCO and PULLMAN, Wash., Oct. 20, 2026 /PRNewswire/ - Nozomi Networks, the leader in OT, IoT and CPS security, and Schweitzer Engineering Laboratories (SEL), industry-leading innovators in the power system protection, automation, and infrastructure solution space, today announced an expansion of their global partnership to help critical infrastructure operators strengthen cyber resilience, improve operational visibility and address evolving regulatory requirements. Combining Trusted Technology, Services and Industry Expertise Building on a successful collaboration serving utilities and other critical infrastructure organizations worldwide, the expanded partnership combines Nozomi Networks' AI-powered cybersecurity platform with SEL industrial networking software, OT managed ethernet switches, trusted computing platforms, cybersecurity services and regulatory expertise. Together, the companies provide customers with a more comprehensive portfolio of technologies and services designed to accelerate and scale security programs while supporting compliance with frameworks, such as NERC CIP, IEC 62443 and NIST guidance, including the expanding Internal Network Security Monitoring (INSM) requirements under NERC CIP-015-1. Expanding Visibility and Deployment Flexibility The expanded partnership introduces a direct integration between the Nozomi platform and SEL OT Software-Defined Networking (OT SDN). In addition to offering the strongest option for deny-by-default architecture, OT SDN provides authoritative network intelligence from the control layer, including near real-time visibility of connected assets, traffic flows, network policies and physical topology. By incorporating this intelligence directly into the Nozomi Networks platform, organizations gain deeper visibility into managed environments while enhancing threat detection, anomaly detection, asset intelligence and AI-powered risk analysis, capabilities that can help utilities address growing INSM requirements of NERC CIP-015-1. Nozomi Networks Guardian security sensors can now be installed directly on SEL-3355 Computing Platforms. This offering enables customers to deploy advanced OT and critical infrastructure monitoring on ruggedized hardware designed for demanding environments, while giving organizations that already know and trust SEL hardware another option for standardizing cybersecurity monitoring across their operations. Nozomi and SEL are committed to continued innovation on industry-leading industrial platforms. The Nozomi Networks platform and SEL Blueframe can provide organizations with robust data collection and deployment options for enterprise security management that use existing infrastructure investments to strengthen resilience and streamline compliance through integrated architecture options. A More Comprehensive Approach to Cyber Resilience "Critical infrastructure operators must strengthen cybersecurity without compromising the reliability and availability of essential operations," said Ryan Bradetich, Schweitzer Engineering Laboratories Senior Vice President of Communications and Cybersecurity. "This expanded partnership gives customers greater flexibility in how they deploy, monitor and protect their environments, helping them meet evolving security and regulatory requirements while maintaining operational performance." "For more than four decades, SEL has helped protect critical infrastructure and make electric power safer and more reliable," said Matthew Cowell, Nozomi Networks Vice President of Strategic Alliances. "Our shared commitment to safety, reliability and operational uptime makes this a natural collaboration. Together, we are combining trusted industrial technology with AI-powered cybersecurity to help customers reduce risk and build more resilient operations worldwide." The OT SDN integration and SEL-3355 Computing Platform with the Nozomi Networks Guardian operating system installed directly on the appliance are available today. SEL to invest more than $500 million in US manufacturing. Schweitzer Engineering Laboratories is investing more than USD 500 million in new plants, production equipment and staff across four US states. The goal is to raise its output of electronic devices by up to 60% to keep pace with growing demand from power grids and data centres. The investments will take place between 2026 and 2028 and include three new electronic device manufacturing facilities in Idaho, expanded manufacturing in Pullman, Washington, and West Lafayette, Indiana, and more panel assembly space in Charlotte, North Carolina, according to a press release from SEL. The company makes equipment that protects, monitors and controls power systems and other critical infrastructure. The demand is driven by investment in power grids, grid modernisation, data centres and industrial infrastructure, as customers try to make their power systems more reliable, secure and resilient. "These projects will expand our manufacturing footprint, strengthen our ability to serve customers worldwide, and create new career opportunities in the communities where we operate," said Dave Whitehead, president of SEL. The bulk of the investment goes to Idaho, where SEL is establishing three new electronics plants. The largest in floor space is in Moscow, where the company is building a new facility of around 28,300 square metres for more than USD 70 million. It is expected to be operational by the end of 2027. In Nampa, SEL has bought an existing building of around 9,600 square metres that will be converted into an electronics plant. The investment of USD 150 million covers the property, equipment and staff, and the plant will initially employ 250 people when production starts in early 2027. Post Falls follows the same model, with a USD 150 million investment and 250 initial employees in a converted commercial building, but production there is not expected to start until late 2027. SEL has not disclosed the size of the building. In Pullman, where SEL has its headquarters, the company has bought a building of about 12,600 square metres on a 4.7-hectare site and is converting it into a manufacturing facility for around 300 employees. It is expected to open in early 2027. In West Lafayette, SEL is investing USD 25 million to increase board assembly capacity by more than 35%, and in Charlotte the company is investing USD 15 million to add more than 4,600 square metres of panel assembly space. Both projects are scheduled for completion in 2027. On top of the new facilities, SEL is investing more than USD 100 million in new production equipment. Together with more than 600 new assemblers and additional shifts in Pullman and Lewiston, this is expected to increase the company's output of electronic devices by 40% to 60%.
