Requirements
  • Previous experience with art inventory management, registration, or shipping is required.
  • BA (Art History or Arts Administration preferred)
  • Must be detail-oriented and able to work on multiple projects at once
  • Must be able to work independently and proactively
  • Previous experience in inventory management, registration, or art shipping
Responsibilities
  • Regularly review art fair inventory to flag framing, conservation, and crating needs.
  • Work with the New York Inventory team to coordinate transfers of art fair inventory between the galleries and warehouse.
  • Obtain crating and shipping estimates; overseeing domestic and international art fair shipments and preparing packing lists, proformas, and other shipping documents.
  • Condition checking select artworks and assembling collections of works that require condition checking by registrars.
  • Assist Director and Art Fairs Associate with uploads of images into condition reports.
  • Coordinate with Production and Registration teams to ensure fair inventory is exhibition ready.
  • Update database with crate costs and dimensions; track and maintain database locations.
  • Electronically file shipping documents, BOLs, and AWBs.
  • Update internal calendars and shared documents with shipping dates.
  • Track shipping costs and maintain budgets.
