Requirements
  • Ability to perform prolonged periods of standing and walking, recurring bending, reaching, and climbing.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds consistently.
Responsibilities
  • Operate pallet jacks, stackers, gaylords, and barrels safely and efficiently at Goodwill locations and while loading, unloading, or moving materials to and from Goodwill trucks.
  • Maintain sufficient inventory at production-area workstations, including donated store items, donation drop-box items, e-commerce items, and items to be baled, salvaged, recycled, or discarded.
  • Maintain the truck dock and other materials-storage areas in a neat and orderly manner.
  • Inform the manager of shortages of storage materials and donated goods.
  • Prepare required paperwork for materials to be shipped or delivered.
  • Assist donors and customers with unloading and loading items into their vehicles.
  • Maintain regular and reliable attendance and punctuality.
  • Attend safety training and follow all safety procedures and protocols.
  • Pursue professional career development through continuing education and training opportunities.
  • Greet customers and present a positive public image for the organization.
  • Promote positive teamwork among coworkers.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
Desired Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • One year of experience as a materials handler in a manufacturing or retail environment using materials-handling equipment.
