About the job
- A high school diploma or equivalent (GED) is required.
- Candidates must have a professional appearance and demeanor.
- Candidates must have keyboarding and Windows-environment PC skills.
- Candidates must have verbal and written communication skills.
- Candidates must be able to work individually or in a team environment and perform multiple functional tasks.
- Candidates must meet the employer's attendance policy.
- Candidates must have a valid driver's license and reliable transportation to and from work.
- Candidates must be able to lift up to 55 pounds.
- Deliver packages to designated mail stops in different faculty buildings.
- Drive company-provided vehicles around a university campus.
- Deliver and load packages into lockers at different campus locations for student pickup.
- Scan packages in from couriers, scan packages out to customers, and sort and file packages for customer pickup.
- Deliver packages to labs as needed and process outgoing packages.
- Perform shipping and receiving, including lifting large bundles of mail, overnight packages, and shipments of paper.
- Maintain customer care while demonstrating a friendly and cooperative attitude.
- Adhere to business procedure guidelines.
- Take direction from a supervisor or site manager.
- Participate in cross-training and perform other tasks as assigned.
- A customer service, hospitality, or retail background is preferred.
- Prior relevant mail services experience is a plus.
