Requirements
  • Current membership in good standing with the Ordre des infirmières et infirmiers du Québec (OIIQ).
  • At least one year of operating-room experience.
  • Ability to work evening, night, weekend, and holiday on-call shifts.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to work independently in a dynamic environment.
  • Fluency in French is essential.
  • Ability to work in both internal and external services in ear, nose and throat, ophthalmology, general surgery, gynecology, orthopedics, recovery room, and digestive endoscopy.
  • Must have a vehicle because public transportation is unavailable.
Responsibilities
  • Prepare and ensure the safety of patients before, during, and after surgical procedures.
  • Collaborate closely with the surgical team and anesthesiologists to ensure procedures run smoothly.
  • Provide specialized care in day surgery, the recovery room, and internal and external services.
  • Work in internal and external operating-room services across ear, nose and throat, ophthalmology, general surgery, gynecology, orthopedics, the recovery room, and digestive endoscopy.
  • Maintain rigorous documentation of care and procedures.
  • Participate in teaching and maintaining best clinical practices.
