Requirements
  • Master’s degree in nursing with a Psychiatric/Mental Health emphasis
  • Certified as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner
  • Active Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner State License without restrictions
  • State CDS Certification and DEA License

Responsibilities
  • Provide psychiatric consultation, evaluation, counseling, and treatment for participants
  • Perform comprehensive psychiatric assessments and develop care plans
  • Collaborate with physicians and IDT in discharge planning
  • Refer participants to a psychiatrist as needed
  • Oversee care of participants in nursing homes
  • Consult with IDT and coordinate care delivery
