About the job
- A valid mobile crane operator license or certification for a 50-ton capacity or equivalent is required for UAE operations.
- A minimum of 3-5 years of professional experience operating mobile cranes on construction or industrial sites is required.
- Comprehensive knowledge of load calculations, rigging techniques, and crane safety protocols is required.
- Strong understanding of equipment inspection procedures and preventive maintenance practices is required.
- Proficiency in reading technical drawings, load charts, and site plans is required.

- Conduct pre-operation inspections of crane equipment, hydraulic systems, and safety mechanisms to ensure optimal functionality.
- Analyze load specifications, site conditions, and rigging requirements to determine appropriate lifting techniques and positioning.
- Communicate with ground personnel, riggers, and site supervisors to coordinate lifts and ensure safe execution.
- Maintain detailed logs of equipment operation, maintenance records, and daily activities.
- Adhere to all local regulations, company policies, and industry safety standards throughout all operations.
- Identify and report equipment malfunctions, maintenance needs, or safety hazards to supervisory personnel.
- Perform routine maintenance tasks and equipment checks as required.
- Respond to emergency situations and implement appropriate corrective actions.
- Collaborate with team members to optimize site efficiency and project timelines.
- Experience with multiple crane types and advanced rigging operations.
- Knowledge of local UAE construction standards and regulations.

H.W. Lochner has completed its rebrand as Egis following their merger in July 2025, creating a unified US infrastructure business with over 1,500 professionals across 70 offices. The combined organisation offers services across transportation, water, energy and environmental infrastructure. It integrates Lochner's 80-plus years of US infrastructure experience with Egis' global expertise in architecture, consulting, construction engineering, operations and mobility. Globally, Egis operates in 70 countries with approximately 23,500 employees. The company ranks 17th on Engineering News-Record's Top 225 International Design Firms list and seventh in transportation. Lochner, an Egis Group company, has appointed Karen Wiemelt to its Board of Directors. Wiemelt brings over 35 years of leadership experience in the nuclear and energy sectors, with expertise in programme management, environmental remediation and strategic planning. Wiemelt previously served as Senior Vice President and General Manager at Jacobs, where she led the company's global Energy, Security and Technology business unit. In that role, she managed a portfolio exceeding $1.5 billion in annual revenue and over 8,000 employees worldwide. She has also served on numerous industry and corporate boards. Founded in 1944, Lochner merged with Egis Group in July 2025, positioning it as the cornerstone of Egis' US growth strategy. Wiemelt holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering from the Colorado School of Mines.
