Requirements
  • A DEC in nursing sciences and a valid license to practice are required.
  • Membership in the OIIQ is required.
  • Relevant experience in short-term acute care in medicine or surgery is required.
  • Availability for full-time work across all shifts (day, evening, and night) and all weekends is required.
  • Interpersonal communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team are required.
  • The ability to manage multiple tasks while maintaining a high level of patient care is required.
Responsibilities
  • Provide quality nursing care to patients.
  • Assess patients’ medical and emotional needs.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans.
  • Communicate effectively with families about patients’ health status and needs.
  • Participate in case management to ensure continuity of care, including in home-care or assisted-living contexts.
