Requirements
  • A Bachelor's degree in any field or one of the following BCSP credentials is required: ASP, GSP, STSC, SMP, CHST, OHST, or CSP.
  • At least 5 years of safety experience in the construction industry is required.
  • Strong knowledge of construction safety standards, hazard recognition, and risk management is required.
  • Experience conducting safety audits and inspections is required.
  • In-depth knowledge of OSHA and local safety regulations is required.
  • The role requires strong problem-solving skills, communication and training abilities, attention to detail, documentation skills, the ability to manage multiple projects, leadership, and conflict resolution skills.
Responsibilities
  • Monitor construction sites to ensure compliance with safety standards set by OSHA and company standards.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain site-specific safety plans and procedures.
  • Conduct regular safety inspections and hazard assessments.
  • Identify potential risks and recommend corrective and preventive actions.
  • Lead incident investigations and prepare detailed reports.
  • Maintain accurate safety documentation, reports, and compliance records.
  • Coordinate and deliver safety training programs, toolbox talks, and emergency drills.
  • Ensure proper use of personal protective equipment.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for regulatory inspections and audits.
  • Collaborate with project managers, supervisors, subcontractors, and HR to promote a strong safety culture.
Desired Qualifications
  • Experience with NFPA 70E is preferred.
