Requirements
  • A bachelor's degree in business administration, finance, public administration, or a related field is required; equivalent experience may be considered.
  • Two to four years of professional experience in a management analyst, budget analyst, or financial/program support role is required.
  • Working knowledge of federal budget and financial management concepts and terminology is required.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and working familiarity with Microsoft Access or similar database and reporting tools are required.
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage recurring reporting deadlines are required.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills are required.
  • U.S. citizenship is required.
  • The ability to obtain and maintain the level of clearance or suitability required for the position is required.
Responsibilities
  • Support financial planning activities, including tracking multi-fiscal-year spend plans and assisting with the redistribution and reconciliation of program funds.
  • Assist in preparing monthly statistical reports, key performance indicator reports, and other operational metrics for program leadership.
  • Support the maintenance and periodic updates of financial tracking databases and reporting systems, ensuring data accuracy and consistency.
  • Coordinate with budget, financial management, and program staff to support cost performance tracking and reporting cycles.
  • Assist with data calls, ad hoc analysis requests, and the preparation of supporting documentation for financial and programmatic reviews.
  • Help track obligations, commitments, and expenditures against approved budgets, flagging discrepancies for review.
  • Contribute to process documentation and continuous improvement of reporting workflows and templates.
Desired Qualifications
  • Prior experience supporting a federal program office in a financial, budget, or management analyst capacity.
  • Familiarity with government funds control processes, including obligations, commitments, and accruals.
  • Experience with Microsoft Power BI or other data visualization and reporting tools.
  • Exposure to interagency agreements or working capital fund billing and reporting processes.
