Requirements
  • At least 5 years of progressive human resources or employee relations experience.
  • Experience with employment law principles and conducting or advising on investigations involving sensitive and nuanced workplace issues.
  • Knowledge of leave requirements and legal protections under the Family and Medical Leave Act, the Americans with Disabilities Act, and other applicable laws.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, ADP, Asana, and other human resources systems.
  • Successful experience investigating Equal Employment Opportunity and other employment-related complaints and interpreting applicable employment laws, policies, and procedures.
  • Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion while managing multiple and fluctuating workloads.
  • Professional proficiency in spoken and written English.
  • Ability to present recommendations logically and persuasively and to gather, document, analyze, and synthesize insights from investigation data and analytics.
  • Interpersonal communication, organizational, flexibility, sound judgment, and discretion when working with individuals and teams at all levels and handling sensitive, high-risk, and complex legal and human resources matters.
Responsibilities
  • Manage a comprehensive employee relations and conflict resolution program.
  • Lead employee investigations involving policy violations, misconduct, or interpersonal conflict.
  • Maintain records of investigations, communications, and counseling using proper documentation standards and complete required reports.
  • Support managers addressing team performance through coaching, guidance on progressive counseling, and timely monitoring.
  • Partner with the Senior Director of People and Culture to support and execute remediation efforts, including written warnings and terminations.
  • Coach organizational managers and advise, support, and assist them by interpreting organizational policies and procedures.
  • Document employee relations and other personnel matters and procedures.
