Requirements
  • The candidate must be state certified, licensed, or accredited by a professional trade organization.
  • If the candidate is not state certified, they must have practical experience in the relevant subject or trade area.
  • The candidate must be able to transfer topical knowledge to meet specific learning objectives.
  • The candidate must understand methods for instilling appropriate behavior, work habits, and study habits in adolescent students.
  • The candidate must have knowledge of housekeeping techniques and management.
  • The candidate must be able to read, comprehend, interpret, communicate, and execute instructions or directives fluently in English.
Responsibilities
  • Present instruction in designated subject areas in a regular classroom setting.
  • Promote a positive classroom atmosphere to maximize student motivation.
  • Maintain classroom discipline to support maximum learning.
  • Establish strong student-instructor rapport.
  • Use all available curriculum resources.
  • Maintain student personnel folders.
  • Follow required processes for student attendance and accountability.
  • Attend all required training.
  • Perform similar and incidental duties as assigned.
