Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • EPA certification.
  • At least 3 years of experience and/or training in commercial cooking and refrigeration equipment, including fryers, grills, coolers, and ice machines.
  • A valid driver's license and clean driving record.
  • Ability to use gauges, meters, measuring instruments, hoists, rigging equipment, torches, and hand tools.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with customers.
  • Ability to work independently, under pressure, without close supervision, and according to job demands.
  • Ability to exert up to 100 pounds of force regularly and up to 50 pounds frequently.
  • Ability to climb and work from an 8-foot ladder and perform the physical movements required for essential job functions.
  • Ability to safely operate a company motor vehicle and follow company safety requirements.
  • Ability to tolerate extreme heat, cold, noise, vibration, fumes, dust, and poor ventilation.
Responsibilities
  • Diagnose commercial cooking equipment performance through observation, testing, and setup.
  • Disassemble and reassemble equipment to perform troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, and repairs.
  • Read, understand, and quote customer prices.
  • Operate hand tools, power tools, gauges, and measuring equipment to service units.
  • Lift, carry, pull, and push components or equipment to test, set up, or maintain equipment.
  • Give and receive written and verbal instructions.
  • Complete documents verifying work performed.
  • Operate a commercial vehicle and trailer.
  • Work flexible hours, including assigned on-call nights and weekends.
  • Explain service charges and work performed to customers.
  • Process and complete work orders.
  • Install new refrigeration systems.
  • Troubleshoot mechanical failures and perform equipment maintenance.
  • Advise customers on equipment upgrades and alternate cooling units.
  • Install, repair, and maintain commercial cooking equipment, including convection ovens, conveyor ovens, fryers, and grills.
