Requirements
- Current United States Government Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information clearance with Counterintelligence Polygraph.
- An advanced cyber certification at Department of Defense 8570/8140 Information Assurance Technical Level III.
- A certification in one of the listed cloud certifications: CompTIA Secure Cloud Professional; CompTIA Cloud+ CE; an AWS certification at the Associate or Professional level in Solutions Architect, Developer, DevOps Engineer, or Security Advanced Networking; Certified Cloud Security Professional; Cloud Certified Professional; Google Certified Professional Cloud Architect; Certificate of Cloud Security Knowledge; VMWare Certified Advanced Professional – Cloud Infrastructure Administration; Microsoft Specialist: Implementing Microsoft Azure Infrastructure Solutions; or Microsoft Specialist Architecting Microsoft Azure Solutions.
- At least 3 years of demonstrated experience providing security engineering for cloud capabilities and solutions in AWS, Azure, or another mainstream cloud service provider.
- Excellent verbal and non-verbal communication skills.
- Demonstrated expertise and experience in networking protocols and concepts.
- Demonstrated knowledge and experience in software-defined networking principles and technologies.
- Demonstrated experience providing security engineering support for capability migration from on-premises environments to the cloud.
- Demonstrated knowledge and experience in the NIST Risk Management Framework.
- Demonstrated expertise and experience in cybersecurity principles.
- Demonstrated experience with Unix/Linux and Windows operating systems.
Responsibilities
- Provide analytical and technical security recommendations to the customer.
- Lead the identification of project security requirements.
- Provide security recommendations for systems using cloud services.
- Participate in network design reviews and security testing for the customer's networks.
- Coordinate with system development teams to ensure network security standards are followed and implemented correctly.
- Identify additional security requirements based on the Risk Management Framework or security issues that put the customer's systems at risk.
- Review and analyze new hardware and software systems and provide recommendations concerning their security.
- Review and analyze Security Requirements Traceability Matrices, System Security Plans, and other information assurance documentation for completeness.
Desired Qualifications
- Demonstrated cloud architecting experience, such as AWS Solutions Architect.
- Experience with systems engineering, including configuration management, requirements management and writing, architecture, and interfaces.
- Knowledge of the customer's infrastructure.
- Familiarity with the customer's information assurance processes.
- Bachelor of Science degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics field.
- Experience briefing senior customer personnel.
- Experience organizing and prioritizing numerous customer requests in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Experience with information assurance vulnerability testing and related network and system test tools, including Retina, HBSS, EVSS, and ACAS.
- Experience with XACTA.
- Familiarity with Enterprise Cross Domain Solutions.
- Experience supporting the intelligence community or Department of Defense in the cybersecurity domain.
